Crest of Blue Ridge Federal Viticultural Area Designation for Henderson County 
                  
                  
                          The “Crest of the Blue Ridge” grape growing region is comprised of roughly 215-square miles in Henderson County. The region’s climate and elevation are it’s defining features for this designation. 
                    
                    
                            Henderson County currently has three wineries – Saint Paul Mountain, Burntshirt,and Point Lookout – and four more are on track to open soon according to AgHC.
