ABOUT BREVARD MUSIC CENTER: The , a summer institute and festival, teaches gifted young musicians to prepare and perform great musical works at a high artistic level. Led by Artistic Director and alumnus Keith Lockhart – the Principal Conductor of the Boston Pops and Chief Guest Conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra in London – BMC brings together world-class musicians, distinguished faculty, and 500 of the most promising classical music students from around the world at the Summer Festival’s 100 concerts and events. From May to August, 40,000 patrons enjoy a dazzling array of music in our glorious lakeside, open-air venues – Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium and the new Parker Concert Hall.
